The Green Bay Diocesan Council of Catholic Women was founded in 1924 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral at the invitation of Bishop Paul Rhode, sixth bishop of Green Bay.

Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Green Bay Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service, consistent with the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church.
